As I was just figuring out how my classroom worked (every year it’s new and different) a friend of mine called me up for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.  After Sir Patrick Stewart’s video, I figured the whole thing had died down, but a challenge is a challenge.  So I plotted and schemed for something unique.  I noticed that someone had already done the challenge with liquid Nitrogen, so that was out.  I thought about an elaborate Star Trek themed video, but in the end did something I hadn’t seen yet.  I decided that I would not only do this as a comic strip, but also in turn challenge not people but other comic characters.  So yesterday I posted on Facebook this: “Nikki – Thanks for the challenge… Since I don’t know of any other comic characters doing this- I challenge Dakk Waggitt, Jason Clark, Tane, and The Solution Squad to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. So Ron, Chris & Ginger, Lee, and Jim are you up for it?”  Since it is a three day weekend I’m guessing the characters I challenged are busy or at least their creators are taking a break. That and since Facebook is becoming the AOL of Social Media, meaning only old people use it regularly I decided I needed to post it here.
