My computer desk (Hemi on the scanner as usual)

SO, as I tweeted earlier, today’s comic did not show up precisely at midnight because of the alien invasion (We welcome our alien overlords), which is more likely than the actual reason- I cleaned my studio (no April Fool’s joke).

Usually when I get into my studio (on the house plans it lists it as the “library” since it is a bedroom without a closet) I have to navigate around mail, and miscellaneous papers littering the floor to get to my desk.  As I roll from my drafting table to the laptop I am usually muttering something about who put all this stuff on the floor as I ruin some doodle or bill.  So, I decided to get it taken care of.  Is it perfect?

My tall bookshelf, the box on the floor is for geocaching supplies.

No, but it is a lot better.  I dusted some shelves and decided to remove a number of items that I felt had reached their pop culture/memory expiration date.  I don’t think I’d ever be able to find a charango repair shop in Indy, let alone learn how to play a 12 string ukulele when I still haven’t had time to practice a four string uke.  So I cleaned a bit and straightened a bit more.  I don’t have any “before” pictures (too embarrassing) but I do have a few “after” shots for those who might not know about where I work.  All in combining this with the great comic book clean out of Wednesday (thank you Dan, Tim & Terry at Comic Carnival North for not laughing too hard at what I thought might be worth something) I don’t feel too bad about what has been accomplished this week.  Except getting Cecil’s 1,400th geocache, and the final color designs for the Dr. Who caches done but there is still the weekend.

Happy Weekend & Go Bulldogs!
