We interrupt this story arc with a special extended comic.

I have played around with various geocaches over the years and always wanting to come up with a puzzle cache dealing with comics.  So I took some time and put one together.  This one is rather interesting and hopefully not too difficult.  At least the first coordinates are easy to find N 39 W085.

Congratulations to “Rubber Ducky” (if that is your real name) for being first to find (logging it at 12:50 AM no less!).  The one thing I do hate about creating a puzzle cache is the email you get asking for hints.  I used geochecker on one cache but then I discovered that people just plugged in random numbers for the parts they hadn’t solved.  I don’t think I’ve ever emailed a cache owner for help.  I do remember getting a hint for a puzzle called “Debut Party” but that was after playing around with it for months and I happen to sitting next to the owner at an event.  The funny part about that one was they had some information incorrect – stuff that only a die-hard comic geek would know (there was a Golden Age Black Panther).  On the cache “Luke, I am your Father” there is also some misinformation but I finally tracked down a website that had the incorrect information listed and went off to find the cache.  The funny thing about GC1TY02 is I had to check to see if Wikipedia would help and even had to correct someone’s entry.  For the Synopsis of a comic they had used the movie… which messed up the information the person needed for this cache.  Oh well, happy hunting and do go and read some of the comics that are highlighted, they are really good.

As of this posting I have received two emails asking for confirmation because of “gas prices” I guess I should be glad I didn’t post this last year when gas prices were even higher!
