Yes, as it might surprise some of you, I was in a fraternity in college. At the school I attended it was a long standing tradition to get the freshmen class into a fraternity as quickly as possible so that there was no need for more dorms, and money could be spent beautifying the campus with fountains. I went through Orientation and Rush in the same week, and moved into my fraternity house (my home for 4 years) before classes started. It was a crazy experience, but basically the majority of us were geeks in some way or another, desperately trying to live out the myth of “Animal House” or at least have fun before we had to be “responsible.”
