If you haven’t been able to tell I’ve been on hiatus for a while, I’m once again sorry that life has gotten in the way of my drawing. I’m not quite sure when I’ll get back to drawing, but I know that when I do I’m planning on having enough story finished to make it worth the wait. I’m looking at some changes in the format, and after going through some old drawings and ideas I am excited, but finding the time time to get everything done with work, and other commitments- somethings are having to take a back seat, including the comic. The comic mostly because I want to be happy with what I’m posting, I could rush stuff out, but I wouldn’t like it. A big change in my thinking since I started. I’ll keep posting to the blog, sometimes ramblings, sometimes doodles, and will post comics when I’m ready to tell you a story I’d want to read. Thank you all for your support and I hope as the holidaze descends upon us, you all have a wonderful time.

What do you mean by “hiatus?” Haven’t you been on one for a year already?

While it might not come to many as a surprise, since I tend to take some time between the holidaze to rethink and catch up, I will be doing that again this year. I know I have been behind in posting, and according to the Economist and actual “professionals” in the field of Webcomics (or as some like to call them “comics”) one thing that helps with creating an audience is to actually have something for them to read. Who knew? So while many have given me support in this almost 4 year labor of love, I’m taking the next week while I’m on the road to think through some things. Mostly what can I actually accomplish given the number of hours in a day and the fact that those Official Harry Potter Time-Turners they sell online don’t really work… If anyone is interested I have a box of them, caveat emptor. I’m not whining (although it might sound like it). I’m not looking for posts of support (I have gotten those too, the other times when I post long thought out apologies). I do love creating this comic, it is something I find joy in… When the world sometimes has no other joy in it. I appreciate all the support and friends I have made. I have learned so much and look forward to learning even more in the coming years. If you had told me when I started this, that I’d still be at it after lose to four years, I’d have laughed. I’m mulling over ideas and taking a little break to plan & scheme. So, take some time yourself and enjoy the friends & family you are with. Enjoy a little time off and I’ll see you in 2013… We survived the end of the world, so as long as the “Snowpocalypse” doesn’t keep me from my drawing board- to quote Arnold “I’ll be back”

Life… Don’t talk to ME about life

If you haven’t noticed My Geek Odyssey has started to become somewhat random when it comes to being published. If you haven’t, then I’m better with smoke & mirrors than I thought.  I’ve started to miss a few days which is something I really never had the intention of doing. Some times the real world gets in the way of our plans and schemes. Right now I’ve hit a wall, with the high stakes statewide test starting this week, report cards and other things going on I feel overwhelmed and something has got to give. This year has been difficult with a number of changes that would make an already full time job, more so.  So for the short term everything that I have spent the past three years constructing is going to have to be put on pause. I’m hoping it will only be for a couple of weeks so I can get a few things straightened out in the real world, but I don’t know. For those who have stuck with the comic through thick & thin, I thank you & I’m sorry that I just can’t seem to keep all the balls in the air right now. We will be back, I’ve been considering some changes, so look for them upon the our return.
