Yet, another cliffhanger… poor Cecil & Mongo

Hmm… So will Cecil escape the clutches of the Raccoon Queen living in the sub basement of Cecil’s very own lair?  & What of Mongo?  Will he be “forced” to wear a metal bikini and dance for bananas?  and what of the election?  and the high price of gasoline?  and the brussel sprouts Sue received in our Green Bean box last week? and these pesky questions, will they ever end? Only time will tell.
Happy Halloween everyone!  And special birthday wishes to my brother Mike safe, but trapped in Queens thanks to Sandy Frankenstorm (who might be waiting for Cecil in the next room of the dungeon).  See you all Friday-  I might as well try for three comics in row- now that’s scary.
Yes, we have raccoons that live in our backyard… and actually relax on our deck.
Earlier in the year I went to an Indy Webcomics Group meet up to learn a bit more about the fine art of drawing.  The discussion was lead by Mike Altman, a friend and really great artist.  He talked about the business of comics but mostly about the art, and how important it is to warm-up, practice, and push yourself.  The final exercise he had the group do was drawing 20 monkeys.  Everyone, except me.  Since he knew I draw monkeys all the time he decided I needed to stretch myself.  SO after a failed attempt at llamas (I argued that I can’t tell the difference between a llama and an alpaca) we settled on raccoons. When the exercise was over and we shared our drawing, Mike commented that expected to see raccoons showing up in my comic at some time… so here they are, thanks to Mike.
Cecil- trapped in his own lair by forces unknown… yes, another “Friday” cliffhanger.  All this because he left for a grand and glorious road trip across the country… Who has chased off his minions?  Who has taken over his lair? Who has tied him up? Doctor who?  I see next week as a time for some revelations. Let’s see this weekend I’m missing (again) the New York Comic Con.  While I would love to be there and soak in the atmosphere, I am looking forward to C2E2 in the Spring in Chicago- hopefully with NYCC finishing up tomorrow news will start pouring in about C2E2.  A few other Geeky things (besides building with Lego).  I do like the way BBC has shared a P.S. to “The Angels Take Manhattan” episode of Doctor Who.  While we did bid farewell to Amy & Rory, it was a little bittersweet.  I started to equate it to the death of Tasha Yar in Star Trek: The Next Generation.  I think I would have been happier if this final scene had been shot, I am assuming that since the BBC has shared it that it is now a fixed point in the space-time that is the Doctor Who universe, and that makes me happy. See you all again Monday.
