So starts the story of how I met Cecil…  is it the real story?  It’s the story- from my point of view.

This week is GenCon the annual gathering of gaming geeks in Indianapolis.  It should be fun, I will see about updating you as to how things are going and what I a am learning & seeing while at the con.

So I’m back from Comic-Con (and a couple teacher workshops) and working through all the stuff I learned and saw there.  You’ll see come changes (nothing too drastic) in the coming months but I need to build a bit of a buffer to give me time to play and get things ready for the start of school.  Yes, unlike a large portion of the United States many schools in Indiana start in early to mid-August.  Hopefully I’ll get a large enough buffer built up to be able to not get overwhelmed with figuring out the new curriculum and to make my classroom just reek of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics). Tune in Wednesday as I try to help Cecil work on his memoir (which I believe is one of the mandated genres I will be teaching to my class this year)… I’m sure I will cover this lesson with fidelity in the approved format of the Writer’s Workshop integrating the use of the writer’s notebook and everything else I have learned during my summer “vacation.”  😉
or breaking up with an ADD angst ridden teenager isn’t that hard to do…
For the next few weeks we are going to be following Cecil’s work on his Memoir… I won’t be writing much here since it is Cecil’s story… Enjoy!
