LEGO Wishlist 2025
My List of LEGO Sets I'm looking forward to in 2025
Hmmm… There are a lot of rumors out there as to what The LEGO Group will be releasing in 2025. As a “Brick Specialist” at my local LEGO Store I have my list of things I’m looking forward to adding to my collection this year.
Please understand, I have no inside track when it comes to future releases or specials, or Gifts With Purchase, or pretty much anything. LEGO is very secretive when it comes to that kind of stuff, and I know about as much as most people with internet access. I hear the rumors, and hope that some are true and then wait for LEGO to officially announce things. This includes when sets retire. The LEGO Influencers Online seem to get information and sets long before the stores do.
Do we build the sets on display at the LEGO Store?
Some yes, some no. As a Brick Specialist I have had the opportunity to build some or all of a number of sets. If it’s a ginormous set, those are usually sent to us built and even glued together. Most of the smaller sets we do get the chance to build. I helped finish the Botanical Garden (Set 21353) and Peely Bone (set 77072), Started on Jabba’s Sailbarge (set 75397), and built the Supply Llama (set 77071) completely. I started working on the soon to be released Tudor Corner (set 10350), but as crowds in the store got larger had to stop. Almost all sets on display were built in house.
What am I looking forward to buying in 2025?
As I’ve said before- I don’t know what is being released beyond the things currently listed on the LEGO website. I wish I did so I could plan ahead. Right now the two big things listed are those items releasing January 1, and the F1 sets, most are scheduled for release March 1. I know May 4 is usually a big Star Wars Release Day. As for other rumors… Gosh, I hope some are true, but I won’t know anything until LEGO officially says something. That said here’s what’s on my watch list, if it has already been released, that just means it has been in short supply and difficult to get.

There are seven LEGO Ideas sets that are currently in production and may be released sometime during 2025… I repeat… may be released. Until I see the final set, I’m not sure how much interest I have in the set. The Disney PIXAR Luxo Jr. set is on my list. The Minifgure Prize Machine looks interesting as does the Western River Steamboat. If you don’t know how LEGO Ideas works- Fans submit their designs and then people online vote. If a submission gets 10,000 votes it moves over to the folks at the LEGO Group who the the design through grueling tests… They check to see about construction, playability, licensing, etc. This is how you get things like The Nightmare Before Christmas, Jaws, van Gogh, Insects, a Grand Piano, a Typewriter, The Office… things you wouldn’t think of as LEGO sets.
The Rumor Mill
I have learned that this just gets messy, working at the LEGO Store two things I cringe at are when people say they “Saw it online” or when they ask about sets that LEGO has announced, but won’t be in the store until some future date. While some rumors are pretty valid, others throw even the folks at the store for a loop. This year’s modular building was rumored to be a series of row houses… it was actually the Tudor Corner. The LEGO group is pretty good at keeping leaks to a minimum. Because of that I do try to avoid even looking a rumors, but I am human. There will be more Fortnite sets, and more of pretty much every theme that LEGO has. When will they be officially released, and announced? Who knows? There are other rumors, but I think many of them are wishful thinking, though I have my fingers crossed on one.

Not familiar, so I just looked up Peely Bone… NIGHTMARE FUEL!!
