Joining you in a Meta break. I am also on Bluesky, but definitely miss the day-to-day interactions on FB. Bluesky is like Twitter (or whatever the heck we’re calling it these days), where I find myself following friends and like-minded folks, personalities I am interested in, etc. But I don’t see it as a platform for making or maintaining relationships, which is what I am looking for in a “social” media platform. And everything is open/public, which I am definitely NOT a fan of. Would it be nice to have an alternative to FB not run by a wanna-be oligarch? Heck yeah! Will it happen?… TBD Until then, we know how to find each other, buddy. See ya!

I concur. There is something about posting and knowing it is only going to a select audience. That said as a teacher I tried to keep everything pretty generic. When the words “moral exemplar” are legally used in your job description and you are Lawful Good by nature it can be difficult to interact online. Sadly FB has us believing their community algorithm is the only one because that’s what we are comfortable with. Looking forward to chatting next time we get together.
