This Week in Comics
My Pull List for November 20, 2024
Not much when it comes to outside commentary this week. Let’s just cut to the chase.
This Week’s Comics:
Lawful #5- We know about this weird world in which if you break the rules you start to change into something monstrous. We’ve also learned that those in power can control this change and do keeping a “holier than thou” attitude and control over society. Sung did his best to follow the rules and while trying to keep a childhood friend from being sent “over the wall” ends up losing everything. Sound’s mom is in need of medication so he tries to follow the rules and politely asks… this gets him to go over the wall and with other soldiers hunt for exiles… what happens next? Read and find out.
Where Monsters Lie Cul-De-Sac #2- Killers from our nightmares and campfire stories are real and all Connor Hayes wants to do his keep his family safe… to do so he just has to kill a babysitter. Then there’s all the craziness going on at Site C. Who is Vilmos? Who seems to be running the show.
The Department of Truth #27- Goodbye Norma Jean… if enough people believe even the craziest things become real.
Prodigy. Slaves of Mars #4- it’s called “Slaves of Mars” so you knew Elijah and Edison would have to figure out a way to get to the red planet.
Star Trek #26- The Kelvin timeline is about to face Lore’s little reality altering plan. If only the Theseus could help them! Or maybe it’s the other way around.
Ultimate Spider-Man #11- Peter has to contend with a robbery without his partner, the Green Goblin, and gets in over his head. Now that Uncle Ben knows the identity of the Green Goblin, how long before he figures out who Spider-Man is? Oh, and MJ is a bit concerned.
Miles Morales: Spider-Man #26- Family drama. I remember when I first met Sue’s family, the fear of making a mistake of them not liking me. Miles has it way worse! The Vulture is doing everything he can to end Miles relationship with his grand daughter even if it means killing him! What does Starling think about all this? It all comes to a head in this issue.
Titans #17- The Clock King takes on the Titans as he puts them against the fears of their past. How did he gain this power? Can Donna, as leader of the group, save them and their secrets?
Action Comics #1076- back of Krypton “Klar-Ken” aka Superman learns more about Kryptonian society as he tries to get back to the Phantom Zone. Has he corrupted the sacred timeline? While back in space Superboy and Super-man try to get out of a sticky situation which could lead to someone’s untimely demise. Also in space Supergirl tries to figure out more about the prisoner she’s escorting who only destroyed 157 worlds.
The Rocketfellers #1- New series time! I like time travel stories so when I heard about a family escaping the 25th century I figured it might have something to do with Buck, Wilma, and Killer Kane - I was wrong. So the Rocketfellers are now in 2024 fugitives for some yet to be revealed reason. How will they acclimate to this ancient world? Will they be found out? Family drama at its finest, so far.
